WB Nabanna Scholarship, launched by the Government of West Bengal, is also an important scheme for the meritorious and economically weaker students of the state. The aim of any scholarships like Har Chatravriti Scholarship Scheme & WB Nabanna Scholarship Scheme of the West Bengal government is to encourage meritorious but financially weak students of the state through this scheme. Higher education is becoming expensive, and it becomes difficult for the poor section to continue it. Therefore, the main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the students from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and give them a chance to complete their studies smoothly.

Features:

1. An amount of ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 is awarded at a time.
2. This scholarship is given from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
3. The amount is transferred directly to the student’s bank account.

Eligibility Criteria For WB Nabanna Scholarship

To apply for the WB Nabanna Scholarship Scheme 2025, students must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

• Place of Residence: The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• Educational Qualification:

1. At least 65% marks in 10th, 12th, graduation, or post-graduation.
2. 60% marks (Higher Secondary – HS).
3. 55% marks (Graduation) level.

• The student must be studying in a recognised institution.
• Financial Status: The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed ₹1,20,000.
• Other Scholarships: The student should not be receiving the benefit of any other government scholarship.

3. A bona fide certificate from the educational institution

7. Photocopy of bank passbook
8. Passport-size photo

WB Scholarship Amount

Under the WB Nabanna Scheme, students are given financial assistance of up to ₹ 10,000. This amount is given on a one-time or yearly basis. The amount is transferred directly to the student’s bank account.

How To  Apply Nabanna Scholarship Form

• Visit the website: cmrf.wb.gov.in (Chief Minister’s Relief Fund).
• Choose the “Financial Assistance for Education” section.
• Click on the option “Apply for Financial Aid”.
• Click on “Fresh Enrollment” or “Sign Up”.
• Enter mobile number, verify OTP, and set password.
• Log in by entering your mobile number, password, and captcha.
• You will receive a form, fill it out carefully.
• Enter details like current course, board/university, marks obtained in 10th/12th/UG or PG, result date, etc.
• Fill in bank name, account number, IFSC code, etc.
• After that, upload your documents.
• Check all the information and documents thoroughly and then click on “Submit”.
• After successful submission, you will get a reference ID—keep it safe.

Selection Process Of WB Nabanna

Nabanna Scheme is awarded purely on Merit-cum-Means basis. The selection process is as follows:

1. Application and document verification.
2. Financial status verification.
3. Academic performance assessment.
4. Interview or document verification if required.
5. Final list released.
6. Scholarship amount transferred to the bank account.

Nabanna Scholarship Status Check Process

• Open the website: cmrf.wb.gov.in (Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Portal)
• Click on the link “Check Application Status.”
• This option will be available on the homepage or in the Applicant Services/Status section.
• Enter your registered mobile number and the captcha displayed on the website, and click “Send OTP”.
• Enter the OTP received through SMS and click on the “Submit” button.
• Check Application Status on Screen

The status will appear on your screen as:

1. Application successfully submitted
2. The document is damaged/deficient, please resubmit
3. Verified / Bank transfer is in process
4. Scholarship approved / Funds transferred to bank account
